Nanomaterials and Effects on Biological Systems: Development of Effective Regulatory Norms
Vol. 4, Num. 1
This article focuses on the risk assessment studies done on nanoparticles and their effect on certain biological systems, especially of the aquatic and plant varieties. The study looks to examine the current ideas about risk assessment in order to further understand current regulatory practices and recommend paths for the future. Through better understanding the inherent risks in nanotechnological research, scientists and regulatory policy writers will be able to ensure the potential harm of nanotechnology is mitigated while also ensuring the possible benefits of the field are not lost.
